Background

As it is said, Rome wasn’t built in a day, likely to that making a company this big is not a job of a day or two. It took almost four and a half decades and two generations of a family to shape this company as it is today. Chandra Group’s foundation was laid down by Mr. Satish Chandra Gupta in 1975. During that time the whole nation was going through a huge financial crisis and national emergency, there was a man in a small town dreaming about visiting every single part of the world. His goal was clear and determinations were high. It was due to his hard work and high spirits that Chandra Group came into the picture. Like any other sole proprietorship company, Chandra group has also traveled a long way to reach the spot where it stands today. The first company under Chandra Group was Chandra Glass House. In 1975, Chandra Glass house was just a small shop in the beautiful city of glass, Firozabad, situated in the Northern Part of India and only 30 minutes drive from the city of the Taj Mahal. With good public relations and unique products in the market, Chandra Glass House soon became the biggest shop of its time in the town. Clearly, that wasn't enough for the company to achieve. Mr. Satish Chandra Gupta altogether had a very big and a different vision for the company. Around the 1980s Chandra Glass House started expanding itself for the domestic market. Chandra Glass house started its domestic work by supplying its products to the Indian Army, Navy, and Air-force. The Indian Defense Services provided a very huge market and customer base for Chandra Group to operate and work with. In the 1990s, after getting a very good hold of the domestic market the company started taking steps towards its another big journey, which was the international market. At the end of the 1990s, Chandra Glass house made its first shipment to the United Kingdom.

After that Chandra Glass House had small shipments to different parts of the world. In 1996, Chandra Group started a new company, Chandra Exports under it. Chandra Exports was started with the objective of supplying and catering to the needs of International customers only. With the new company, a new vision with young ideas and fresh minds joined the Chandra Group. Mr. Sharad Chandra Gupta, son of Mr. Satish Chandra Gupta joined the company as CEO of Chandra Exports. With high enthusiasm and high spirit of working, Mr. Sharad Chandra Gupta came up with the idea of showcasing their products to international customers. In 1996 Chandra Group started to participate and display its products to international buyers in international trade shows. Chandra group did its first international trade show in Cologne (Koln), Germany, and after that started participating in IHGF Delhi, India. After a little push-starts Chandra Group also started to participate in trade shows in Dubai - United Arab Emirates, Birmingham- The United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and has been participating in Frankfurt, Germany since 2009.

Chandra group always believed that a strong customer base will eventually lead to a strong business empire so that the company paid a huge emphasis on customer satisfaction and customer retention. Chandra Group always had and follows a very strict tolerance policy for the quality check for its products.  During the late '90s, the initial production capacity of the company was only 7 tons a week. Today Chandra group produces 13 tons of raw glass per day. Later on in the year 2017 Chandra Group also started Chandra Glass House LLP. Today Chandra Group is a successful manufacturing and exporting company. All the companies under Chandra Group- Chandra Glass House, Chandra Glass House LLP, and Chandra Exports are working together with the government and under the rules and regulations prescribed by the governing bodies. Chandra Group is SEDEX and ISO approved.

Chandra Group strongly believes that the working staff or the employees are one of the very important assets to the company. The group tries its level best to provide premium facilities to its workforce of more than 2000 employees. Each and every employee of Chandra Group is well skilled and has an ample amount of experience in their field of work. The Group even has a very stick quality control policy. Before the final packaging is done each and every product is checked twice and even very little variation in the product is removed.
